Sevenoaks Road, Ely, Cardiff

Construction of 8 new build apartments for affordable housing

Client:

Cardo Group Ltd for Hafod

The development, named Cwrt Dderwen Saith, was built by Cardo for Hafod in partnership with Cardiff Council, and funded through the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant. It transforms a previously unused infill site into a vibrant new development, offering high-quality homes close to local amenities.

The scheme comprises four one-bedroom and four two-bedroom flats, all designed to meet high environmental standards. Each home is EPC A-rated, fully electric, and includes solar PV panels, contributing to a low-carbon future and helping residents’ benefit from improved energy efficiency.

Q’s Surveyor, Daniel Edmondson commented:

“From my introduction through to the final visit, I have found the site team and the contract/project management team to be

highly organized and communicative both verbally and in written format. Roy Orchard, Cardo’s Site Manager, was responsive and communicative throughout the project, demonstrating significant experience and a keen eye-for-detail, reflected in the well-ordered site and high standards of finish that I witnessed throughout the project.”

Q is proud to have been part of the journey in delivering high-quality, affordable homes for the people of Cardiff.
