Construction of 22 new apartments for affordable housing.

This project involved the comprehensive refurbishment (with part demolition) of the former Porthcawl Hotel, to create 22 new homes and 2 commercial units. It was a complex project which involved the repurposing of a prominent building which sits in a conservation area.
Works were carried out by Easyliving Ltd for Coastal Housing Group (now Beacon Cymru Group) and the development was part funded by Welsh Government’s Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme.
Our Surveyor Dan Edmondson commented: "As an affordable housing project, it has been a pleasure to see a derelict Victorian building, be turned around, to provide vital low-cost housing."
