Q is interested to hear from experienced administrators who would be interested in joining our sales team to support the function and assist us in delivering a quality service to developers throughout the UK.

What does the position involve?

Liaising with Clients

Being a regular point of contact for new business enquiries, collating information required for underwriting, providing initial information to clients and keeping clients up to date on progress.

Compiling Information

Preparing information packs for submission to underwriting team for pricing and quotation.

Supporting Sales Team

Assisting sales executives and managers to prepare relevant internal documentation, and helping to maintain a comprehensive data audit trail for compliance purposes.

Assisting with trackers

Assisting with the maintenance of internal project trackers, monitoring project progress and income generation targets, making sure information is always up to date.

Customer Due Diligence

Preparing corporate technical & financial ratings for underwriting team assessment, ensuring sufficient information obtained and maintaining audit trail.

Supporting BD Director

Providing support to the Business Development Director including diary management, appointments, client requests and correspondence.

What do we need to know about you?

The key requirements for the ideal candidate for this role include:

Experience & Qualifications

As an ideal candidate for this role, you'll be an experienced administrator who can hit the ground running in a busy office environment.

Ideally you will have at least a Higher/A-Level in English and Maths (although this is not compulsory).

It would be an advantage to hold the CII - Foundation in Insurance award, although this can be worked towards upon commencement.

Communication Abilities

It is essential you have excellent communication skills with the ability to converse confidently with people in excellent written and spoken English.

 

You will also have an excellent telephone manner and the ability to remain calm in all situations, and handle difficult / sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.

We really need someone who has a high level of attention to detail and  who is organised enough to maintain a suitable audit trail using the company's systems. 

Attitude & Approach

You're going to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a generally flexible attitude and a general commitment to do what it takes to get the job done. 

You'll be relatively self-sufficient and able to work independently and unsupervised but enjoy working with the wider team and interacting with your line manager regularly.

You will be exceptionally well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload and flexibility to multi-task.

Anything else?

To do this job effectively you will need to be highly IT literate and competent, being a very experienced user of all Microsoft Office software (with a high level of competence expected in Excel, Word and Outlook). Overall, we are looking for someone who is very confident in their use of technology.

Other things we are looking for include: business appropriate appearance, discreet nature, common sense approach to business and client requirements and the ability to quickly and accurately read situations.
